What's a vault?
A vault is where you store everything from your trips and reservations to your bank accounts and transactions.
Managing vaults
For most people, one vault is enough, but you might want to keep some of your financial information in a private vault and shared accounts or trips in a shared vault. We recommend sticking with a single vault, but Voyage Vault let's you create as many as you need.
Note: Accounts, transactions, and trips that are used together need to be in the same vault.
Shared vaults
Any vault you create is automatically shared on all your devices that use your iCloud account. But you can also share your vault with another iCloud user.
- Go to the Dashboard tab
- Tap the share button next to the name on the vault button
- Wait for Voyage Vault to present a Share Sheet
- Tap Share With More People
- Send an invite via Messages or Mail
- Wait for the other person to accept it
You'll both have access to everything in that shared vault. This is great for people who share finances and travel.
Turn off sharing
If you want to stop sharing a vault, use the steps below.
- Go to the Dashboard tab
- Tap the share button next to the name on the vault button
- Wait for Voyage Vault to present a Share Sheet
- Tap Stop Sharing
- Others using this vault will lose access to the shared content
Customizing a vault
You can change the name of a vault or change its color.
- Go to the Dashboard tab
- Tap the vault button
- In the Edit Selected Vault section, type a different name for the vault
- Below the name is a color picker, tap the color you want for the vault
Setting the vault color adds a tint to most views in Voyage Vault, with the exception of the Transaction Detail, which gets its tint from the category you've assigned.
